Founder's Story
From a Local Initiative to a Global Movement
Nirmeen Malik — Founder
Nirmeen Malik grew up in Lahore, Pakistan, navigating financial hardship from an early age. Even during her A-Levels, she was already resourceful — building small ventures and networks of her own. But the deeper she looked into the job market, the clearer one thing became: it wasn’t built for women like her.
The turning point came during COVID-19. Watching the world shift to remote work, Nirmeen saw an opportunity hiding inside the crisis — a chance to connect women with flexible, location-independent jobs they could do from anywhere. That idea became Daaman.
What started as one woman's response to her own struggle has grown into a platform reshaping how people across Pakistan access work, one demo interview, one CV review, one remote job at a time.
