Founder's story
In Lahore, Pakistan, Nirmeen Malik, born into financial hardship, defied societal constraints. During her A levels, she showed resourcefulness, networking, and venturing into small-scale enterprises. Recognizing a gendered job market, she persisted in her quest for economic independence. The turning point came during COVID-19, inspiring Nirmeen to establish Daaman—an initiative connecting women with remote work, transcending personal struggles into a beacon for female empowerment. From overcoming adversity to founding Daaman, Nirmeen’s journey epitomizes resilience and entrepreneurship, transforming not only her life but also reshaping Pakistan’s job market dynamics. Daaman stands testament to the transformative impact of an individual’s passion, sparking a movement beyond personal triumphs.
